Take a free, 18 minute ride on the ferry between Bolivar Peninsula and Galveston Island. You may even see dolphins!

The Ranch at Crystal Beach is a Par 36, nine-hole golf course. There is no scheduling of tee times, just show up and play!

Fish from the beach or on the bay! There are lots of public-access fishing spots and guided fishing tours available to guests.

Fort Travis was the first fort established by the Republic of Texas (1836) to protect the Galveston harbor entrance.

Seasonal Events

Traditional Mardi Gras colors

A weekend event that continues to grow in popularity. It involves a 5K fun run followed by a parade. It will be held Saturday Morning February 13, 2021 at 11:30 am.

Sandcastle

Build a sandcastle and earn prize money! This contest takes place on March 14th, 2020 (Spring Break), so if you’re interested in staying during this time, you’ll need to book in advance!

Each May, an incredible number of jeeps, 4-wheelers and UTVs gather on Crystal Beach. If you want to visit during Jeep Weekend, you’ll need to book well in advance.

Coming down the slide a the water park

Visit a local waterslide that has been around for 36 years. It’s located near the park.

Visit September 4-6, 2020 for the Texas Crab Festival. It’s a beach party weekend filled with music, art and crabs. There are lots of family fun activities and competitions, music and food!

Christmas decoration and Christmas lights

Galveston is referred to as “Winter Wonderland Island”, but Bolivar Peninsula also joins in the holiday activities with the Bolivar Christmas Festival.
